Verrill Dana Announces New Maritime and Marine Technology Practice Group

Verrill Dana is pleased to announce the formation of a new practice group concentrating in maritime and marine technology law. The Maritime Group is comprised of attorneys who include: the President of the Marine & Oceanographic Technology Network and a current member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, a trained engineer with experience in the submarine industry, a former special agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence and graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, a former yacht delivery captain with 15 years of experience in the marine trades and two sailing coaches.

With deep knowledge and experience in how business law, environmental law, intellectual property law, product liability and international law, relate to the maritime world, the Maritime Group serves the needs of clients in the burgeoning U.S. and world marine technology industry that serves off-shore energy, defense, commercial shipping and maritime security endeavors globally. The group also serves clients in typical maritime transactions involving vessels, waterfront facilities and marinas, as well as traditional admiralty-based litigation.
